French Grand Prix
The main storyline for this race was Carlos Sainz who was given a grid penalty sending him all the way back to P19. Sainz would earn himself driver of the day for fighting all the way back and finishing P5. It was a good start for Charles Leclerc who was able to fight off Max Verstappen from overtaking him. It wouldn't last long because for the third time this season Leclerc loses control of his car and would have to retire for the day with much visible frustration. The battle would go on to be between Red Bull and Mercedes much like last season. George Russell and Sergio Perez would have a great battle even making contact on one lap but Russell would have the last laugh earning the double podium for Mercedes.
