BRING ON THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
The Miami Heat are headed to the Eastern Conference finals for the second time in three years as they close out the Philadelphia 76ers in game 6.
Last week, Thursday, Jimmy Butler led the Heat across the finish line, where the 76ers hosted Miami for game 6. But Sixers fans were not too happy for our 2022 Eastern finalists, as they fueled the Heat with "boos" whilst they maintained the lead, leaving Philadelphia with a final score of 99-90.
Butler, who led with a smooth 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists on Philly’s home court, shares how the victory came about in Thursday's post game interview.
“I’m so grateful that Coach Pat believed in me.. Coach Spo and they were like just go, figure out a way to get us to where we want to go and I’m on my way to doing that. But I’m trying to tell y’all I cannot do that without these guys on this roster. They believe in me, I believe in them and that’s what works.”
The forward says he’s ready for what‘s to come.
“I love being here in Miami! I love the group of guys that we have and I’m not changing anything that happened. I’m here for a reason and we are going to ride this wave and take it back to the 305, get ready for the next round, and work our way towards this championship.
The Heat are going up against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. Their last playoff run was back in 2020, where the 305 won the Eastern Conference series 4-2.
