 Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets

The Miami Heat won't have Andrew Wiggins until next game as he's still making his way to South Florida  as is Davion Mitchell. The Heat would make up a trip to Brooklyn to take on the Nets who just let go of Ben Simmons through a buyout. The last time Miami and Brooklyn faced each other it was on the 25th of January where Miami defeated the Nets 106-97. The Heat currently sit 7th in the Eastern Conference two games off of Milwaukee in 5th.

The leader for the Heat in this one was Bam Adebayo who finished the game with 18 points followed by Tyler Herro who struggled in his shot selection finishing with just 15 points. Both finishing with the same amount of points was Duncan Robinson and Kel'el Ware with 10 points. Haywood Highsmith struggled once again tonight finishing zero points. Leading Miami from the bench was Terry Rozier who's really stepped it up from the bench contributing with 20 points.

Cameron Johnson led the way for the Nets finishing the game with 18 points followed by De'Angelo Russell who contributed with 17 points after being traded back to Brooklyn from Los Angeles. Nic Claxton would end his night with 12 points followed by Keon Johnson with 11 points. Ziaire Williams would round out the starting lineup finishing the night with eight points. Leading the bench for Brooklyn was Trendon Watford with 12 points.

All-Star Herro really struggled in this game after shooting six for 22 and inherited the role of closer after the departure for Butler. The Nets missing superstars have been putting up a fight having won four of the last five. The Heat would shoot 9% in the fourth quarter and yes you're reading that right. Miami would shoot two for 21 and were outscored 31-9 and would lead by six points through three quarters.

Jaime Jaquez Jr scored the first shot of the fourth quarter which would make the game 79-71 with just 14 seconds remaining left in the game. Miami wouldn't make another shot until Rozier hit a three-pointer with 7:02 left to play and would be shutout from the moment forward. The Heat were 31-9 in the fourth quarter the second worst in the season. The Nets would go ahead and defeat the Heat by a final score of 102-86.

Up next for the Miami Heat is a home game welcoming the Boston Celtics to the Kaseya Center.
