 Florida Panthers vs Los Angeles Kings 



The Florida Panthers return home after losing the second half of a back-to-back 4-1 at the hands of the Las Vegas Golden Knights. After a couple of days off the Panthers returned home to welcome the Los Angeles Kings in a rematch from last week when the Kings hosted Florida in Los Angeles. In that game it was the Kings who came out on top defeating Florida 2-1. Florida was also playing Los Angeles on the second night of a back-to-back. 












The Panthers kicked things off just four minutes into the first period with Sam Bennett opening the scoring assisted by Matthew Tkachuk making it 1-0. There was only one penalty by the Panthers coming in this first period with the Kings committing no penalties throughout the game. Sergei Bobrovsky had a stellar night making 29 saves. Florida would outshoot Los Angeles by 10 with the Panthers firing off 39 shots and the Kings having 29 shots. 












There was no goals from either team in the second period leaving the Panthers with the 1-0 lead off of Bennett's goal. Darcy Kuemper from the Kings also had a busy night making 36 saves but could not stop some of the goals that Florida made. The Kings have lost three straight and also seven of their last 10 games in which eight of them have been on the road. 















The Panthers would get a power play just four minutes into the third period with Barkov putting the puck into the back of the net assisted by Tkachuk extending the Florida lead to 2-0. 18 minutes into the third period it would be Tkachuk getting in on the party after assisting both goals he would get his name on the scoresheet hitting an empty net goal to make it 3-0 putting the dagger in the heart. The Panthers would advance to defeat the Kings 3-0.















Up next for the Florida Panthers is a home game welcoming the Chicago Blackhawks to the Amerant Bank Arena.
