THE HEAT ARE ON FIRE
The Miami Heat has found a rhythm the past three games, LAL, PHX and now CLE.
Tyler Herro is on making a statement after rumored trade talks had him included in the offseason and now with Jimmy Butler having issues staying healthy to start the season, Herro is finally stepping up as the team alpha.
On Wednesday Dec.4, the Miami Heat go up against Lebron James and his Lakers at the Kaseya Center to start a 4-game home stretch. In this game, it felt like the Heat kept getting hotter the more they played due to the Lakers' atrocious defense and Herro hitting (7) straight 3’s in the third quarter. The Lakers were no match for Miami even with Lebron’s 29pts, the Miami Heat ended up melting the Lakers by 41, 134-93.
On Saturday Dec.7, Miami faced the Pheonix Suns, and the game was basically even with both teams defending well, the Heat shooting better from the field but PHX hitting more 3’s and Free throws. Eventually, Miami took the win over the Suns, but PHX were without their superstar Kevin Durant. Bam led both teams in scoring with 25pts and Jimmy got 24pts. 121-111
On Sunday Dec.8, Miami plays the top team in the Eastern conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Miami Heat, despite having started the season low and slow, have decided to pick up the slack and go head-to-head against the top team. It ended up becoming a catchup game for the CAVS once Miami had taken the 10+ point lead. Miami answered all the comeback attempts and went on to win, 122-113. The difference maker was not just the 34pts from Herro but the 23pts from Duncan Robinson in 28 minutes. Heat fans have been asking the basketball gods for a shimmer of hope from Duncan and their prayers were heard and answered Sunday night. With this win, the Miami Heat are on a 3-game win streak and could potentially make it (4) with a win over Toronto at home coming up on Thursday Dec.12 @7:30pm EST.
