Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins

 Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins

It has not been a good road trip for the Florida Panthers as they've lost two games so far against Ottawa and Buffalo last time out. The Panthers had a similar start to last season so there is no cause to panic as it's the beginning of the season. The road trip continued for an early afternoon game at the TD Garden with Florida once again facing the Boston Bruins. It was a thrashing on opening night with the Panthers defeating the Bruins 6-4.

As expected the Bruins would come out super physical as they have the last three years against Florida. It's been a tactic of Boston to try and intimidate Florida but it has not worked. In this game there was multiple fights and cheap shots from the Bruins. The Bruins were first on the board with John Beecher getting the goal making it 1-0.

Just two minutes later it was Anton Lundell grabbing his first goal of the season equalizing the game 1-1. There was many penalties in this game on both teams due to fighting. Sam Reinhart was part of the last scrum and would respond with a goal of his own giving the Panthers the lead 2-1. This would end the first period with Florida in the lead.

In the second period just five minutes in it would be Brandon Carlo with the goal for the Bruins equalizing the game 2-2. Reinhart once again would come to the rescue a few minutes later to regain the lead making it 3-2 for Florida. Twelve minutes into the second period it would be Lundell finding his second goal of the season to make it 4-2 for the Panthers.

Boston would find another goal in the second period through Mason Lohrei cutting the deficit by one making it a 4-3 Florida lead. Nothing would occur in the third period with some close chances for the Bruins but couldn't capitalize. The Panthers looked great without Tkachuk and Barkov which should be a notice for the rest of the league to imagine how it will be when those two arrive. The Panthers defeat the Bruins by a final score 4-3 for the second time this season.

Next up for the Florida Panthers is a road game visiting the Columbus Blue Jackets.
