Miami Marlins vs Atlanta Braves
After a disastrous series for the Miami Marlins against the Los Angeles Dodgers it was on to the final series at home for what has been another painful season in Marlins baseball. The Fish would welcome the Atlanta Braves to loanDepot Park who are fighting to maintain a national league wild card spot. With few games remaining in the season there is also talks that this would be the final season for manager Skip Schumaker. He would finish time not being able to take Miami back to the playoffs after Don Mattingly accomplished that in 2020.
Game 1: Marlins 4-3 Braves
Valente Bellozo vs Charlie Morton
Jake Burger would single and double helping Miami take the 4-3 victory ending Atlanta's streak of six straight NL East titles.
Game 2: Marlins 2-6 Braves
Adam Oller vs Max Fried
Matt Olson would break the deadlock in the 7th inning with a two-run shot to give the Braves the 6-2 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 4-5 Braves
Darren McCaughan vs Grant Holmes
Michael Harris would have a huge game tripling, singling, and scoring the lead run for the Braves 5-4 victory to win the series.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road series visiting the Minnesota Twins.
