Miami Dolphins vs Seattle Seahawks

 Miami Dolphins vs Seattle Seahawks

Lots to figure out and lots to watch if you're the Miami Dolphins with QB Tua Tagavailoa being out for the next four weeks after his concussion on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills. This means Skylar Thompson will get the start despite Miami signing Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens who is dubbed mini Lamar Jackson. The Dolphins would travel to Lumen Field to face the Seattle Seahawks who have started the season 2-0.

Thompson would end the game going 13-of-19 for 107 yards but would be sacked five times as the offensive line struggles continue for Miami. Thompson would leave the game in the third quarter with a chest injury and being replaced by third string QB Tim Boyle. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would both struggle combing just for seven catches for 66 yards. The run game wasn't any better with De'Von Achane gaining 30 yards off of 11 carries.

For the Seahawks it was QB Geno Smith who would throw for 289 yards and a 71-yard touchdown over to star WR DK Metcalf. On the ground for Seattle it was Zach Charbonnet rushing for two touchdowns while having 91 yards off of 18 carries. Metcalf would finish the game with 104 yards off of four receptions with one touchdown. Noah Fant was the next best in receiving finishing with six receptions for 60 yards.

Boyle was unable to make any sort of comeback for Miami in the third quarter after losing Thompson to the injury. Jason Sanders was the only person able to deliver a score for Miami on this miserable Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks would become the first time since 1979 to go 3-0 and hold each team to under 150 yards passing. Miami had the chance to comeback after Smith's second interception of the game and could've come within one score.

This was just how the afternoon went, Miami reached the Seattle three and turned the ball over on downs. The Seahawks would go on to demolish the Dolphins by a final score of 24-3. It's evident that Miami need some improvement in the QB room as well as the offensive line which is an old story. Dolphins start the season 1-2 and looking like it'll be an ugly season.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a home game welcoming the Tennessee Titans to Hard Rock Stadium on Monday Night Football.
