Miami Marlins vs Chicago Cubs
The biggest news out of the Miami Marlins organization happens to be that Griffin Conine the son of Mr. Marlin himself Jeff Conine has been called up to the team. Former President David Samson who has not been to a game at loanDepot Park since he was fired in 2017 posted that he would be attending the game where Conine will make his MLB debut. Before that, the Marlins welcomed the Chicago Cubs for a weekend series looking to break a losing streak.
Game 1: Marlins 3-6 Cubs
Max Meyer vs Kyle Hendricks
Pete Crow-Armstrong hits an inside-the-park homer which opened the series with a victory for the Cubs 6-3 over Miami.
Game 2: Marlins 2-14 Cubs
Valente Bellozo vs Shota Imanaga
Seiya Suzuki homers twice plus a triple as the Cubs destroy the Marlins 14-2 to win the series.
Game 3: Marlins 7-2 Cubs
Adam Oller vs Javier Assad
Big day for Connor Norby would homer, double, and single just shy of hitting the cycle helping the Marlins avoid the sweep breaking the losing streak picking up the 7-2 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road series visiting the Colorado Rockies.
