Miami Marlins vs New York Mets

We're back from the All-Star break as the Miami Marlins look to have a much better second half of the season compared to the first. The second half of the season starts against the New York Mets at home in which the Marlins have had a positive record against the Mets this season. The break was something that was much needed for Miami as the bullpen has been depleted due to injuries. This weekend we also saw all of Miami's draft picks get a workout in at loanDepot Park.

Jake Burger brings in the victory for the Marlins 6-4 with a double as well as homering.

Game 2: Marlins 0-1 Mets

Roddery Munoz vs Luis Severino

Severino was an ace on the mound only allowing four hits in a shutout for the Mets 1-0 win.

Game 3: Marlins 4-2 Mets

Trevor Rogers vs Christian Scott

Jazz Chisholm Jr hits a go-ahead homer for three runs to lift the Marlins to a 4-2 victory.

Game 4: Marlins 4-6 Mets

Yonny Chirinos vs David Peterson

Francisco Lindor helps the Mets split the series with two homers as the Mets take victory 6-4.

Next up for the Miami Marlins is a home series welcoming the Baltimore Orioles to loanDepot Park.
