Miami Marlins vs Kansas City Royals
As we approach July we're nearing the middle of the season which means All-Star voting. We can probably bet the Miami Marlins will have only one representative or none at all. The break will be a much needed break for the bullpen to get back to health. Miami set course on a road trip beginning with the Kansas City Royals after winning a series at home against the Seattle Mariners. The Royals entered this series coming off the receiving end of a sweep against the Texas Rangers.
Game 1: Marlins 1-4 Royals
Roddery Munoz vs Cole Ragans
Ragans shuts down 11 Miami batters picking up the 4-1 victory their fourth in 15 games to open up the series.
Game 2: Marlins 2-1 Royals
Yonny Chirinos vs Seth Lugo
Nick Gordon and Jazz Chisholm come up with big hits in a two-out rally to even the series with a 2-1 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 1-5 Royals
Valente Bellozo vs Brady Singer
Salvador Perez comes up big in the 8th inning for a five-run two-out rally to help the Royals secure the series victory with a 5-1 win.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road series visiting the Philadelphia Phillies.
