Miami Marlins vs St. Louis Cardinals
The worst start in franchise history for the Miami Marlins which has become a laughing spectacle in the community as well as one of the worst starts by a MLB franchise. Blown leads and poor pitching have been the storyline of this losing streak with the schedule not getting any easier in the month of April. The Marlins would visit Busch Stadium for a weekend series facing the St. Louis Cardinals.
Game 1: Marlins 5-8 Cardinals
Ryan Weathers vs Lance Lynn
Nolan Gorman comes up clutch with a two-run double late in the game to give the Cardinals a win on their home opener.
Game 2: Marlins 1-3 Cardinals
Trevor Rogers vs Steven Matz
Jordan Walker with an RBI double helped the Cardinals with the 3-1 victory handing the Marlins the 9th consecutive loss.
Game 3: Marlins 10-3 Cardinals
Max Meyer vs Kyle Gibson
Both Jazz Chisholm Jr and Nick Gordon would go for three-run homers which helped Miami pick up their first win of the season 10-3.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road game visiting the New York Yankees.
