Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers
With the season coming to an end and the Miami Heat riding a three-game winning streak after picking up a huge win over the New York Knicks. Miami now welcomes the Philadelphia 76ers who currently sit behind the Heat in the standings. A win for Miami over Philadelphia would be huge and give them a shot to try to reach for the 4th spot in the conference who the Knicks currently hold. Joel Embiid would be returning to the lineup against Miami.
Terry Rozier for the second straight game had the hot hand offensively racking in 22 points on the night. Rozier would finish the game worrying Heat fans as he showed signs of knee discomfort which is never a good sign. Jimmy Butler who's had a weird season missing games due to injury and personal reasons would score 20 points against his former team. Bam Adebayo had a really bad night struggling to get into a rhythm finishing with 14 points.
Tyrese Maxey had Heat fans on twitter wishing Miami had taken the chance and drafted him instead of Precious as he showed off his skill. Maxey would go off and had a special night with 37 points hitting many dagger shots. Joel Embiid had a nice return to the lineup finishing the game with 29 points. Kelly Oubre Jr would have a nice night as well finishing with 18 points.
The beginning of this game did not look good and it looked like it was going to be another one of those nights. The Sixers would start the night off on a 17-2 run leaving Erik Spoelstra with no choice but to call timeout. The Heat would have a response and take the lead of the game after going on a 25-6 run. This was a game of runs because the Sixers would come back with a 20-1 run of their own.
Miami had an eight point lead with 6:28 remaining in the game but would not be able to hold on. Haywood Highsmith on the final possession for the Heat would dribble the ball off his foot for the turnover sealing the deal for Philadelphia. The 76ers defeat the Heat 109-105 splitting the season series sending Miami back to 7th in the conference.
Next up for the Miami Heat is a road game facing the Houston Rockets.
