Miami Dolphins vs Dallas Cowboys

 Miami Dolphins vs Dallas Cowboys

The big day finally arrived a matchup both Miami fans and Dallas fans had been waiting for. It's not often the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins face each other. This year it's even more special as the two face each other on Christmas Eve. The Cowboys entered the game after a brutal loss on the road to the Buffalo Bills and for the Dolphins they enter have a big margin of victory against the New York Jets.

QB Tua Tagavailoa would throw for 293 yards and one touchdown in a game that was much needed for the Dolphins after the Bills defeated the Chargers keeping the pressure on Miami. Tyreek Hill went for nine catches for 99 yards as he returned to the field after missing last weeks game with an ankle injury. Raheem Mostert finished the night with 46 yards putting him over 1,000 for the first time in his career.

MVP candidate QB Dak Prescott had a nice game going for 20 of 32 for 253 yards plus adding two touchdowns and no interceptions. WR CeeDee Lamb was also hot catching six passes for 118 yards including a 49-yard touchdown in the first half. It was a slow day for RB Tony Pollard who at best would rush for two yards per carry. Dallas desperately missed LT Tyron Smith as the Miami pressure came from that left side.

Both teams started out hot showing what they could do on offense but for Dallas it was heartbreak after a fumble at the one yard line recovered by the Dolphins would come back and haunt them. The short game for Miami connecting with Waddle and Hill really helped them drive down the field with Dan Quinns defense refusing to adjust.

Despite the one touchdown it was a legacy game for Jason Sanders who went for five made field goals including the game winner to help the Dolphins defeat the Cowboys 22-20. Miami were able to respond after Dak and the Dallas offense had an impressive drive which resulted in a touchdown to Brandin Cooks to take a one-point lead.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a road game visiting the #1 Baltimore Ravens next Sunday afternoon.
