Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets

 Miami Heat vs Brooklyn Nets

I am sure the Miami Heat were happy to be back home after a difficult road trip visiting the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Milwaukee Bucks. It was an unsuccessful road trip but the Heat have the chance to get back in the win column hosting a struggling Brooklyn Nets team.

The Brooklyn Nets entered this matchup with three missing key players in Nic Claxton, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Cameron Johnson. This is the start of an important week for Miami as stated by head coach Erik Spoelstra who was fired up on his birthday.

With Jimmy Butler back in the lineup and Tyler Herro who's been absolutely balling since the start of the season had the Heat up by 16. Miami would enter the dressing room leading 56-46 and this comes with the fact that they turned over the ball 13 times.

Towards the end of the 3rd quarter the Heat still had a healthy 15-point lead but again so far early on in this season, Miami have not been able to hold leads late in games. The Nets would go on a 37-15 run looking like the Warriors with the amount of three pointers they hit. This would help Brooklyn take a seven point lead in the 4th quarter.

To make things even more difficult, with Tyler Herro putting Miami within three with 40 seconds left the referee made a terrible call in which should've been a travel leading to Heat basketball instead was allowed to play on and turned into a Brooklyn score.

That score would seal the deal and would lead the Nets to a 109-105 victory over the Heat dropping them to 1-4 on the season. This team looks like a bunch of individuals at the moment and evident that no roster upgrades is currently hurting them.

Next up for the Miami Heat is a home game starting the in season tournament welcoming the Washington Wizards.
