Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs
Some have been critical of the Miami Dolphins in the way they perform against teams that are over.500. They lost to the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles with a chance to end that narrative in a matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two teams flew all the way to Frankfurt, Germany for this game for NFL's initiative to spread the game globally.
This game was a story of two different halves. The first half was definitely not one the Dolphins woke up early for due to the games 9:30 am EST start time. The Chiefs would score three touchdowns in the first half to lead 21-0. At this point many thought the game was over with the Dolphins offense looking stagnant with no sign of life.
After halftime it was the Dolphins who came out to play putting pressure on Patrick Mahomes which was evident he was struggling. Miami would score two touchdowns bringing the game to a score of 21-14 awakening the Dolphins fans. It was a once score game and the Dolphins threatened to hand the Chiefs their second straight loss.
Miami had a perfect chance to tie this game up and had all the momentum in the world but as we all know in this league, silly mistakes can prove costly. The Dolphins would fumble the ball inside Chiefs territory on a 4th & 10 which would seal the deal for Kansas City just barely staying alive.
Mahomes and Tua Tagavailoa would have season lows with Mahomes who hit 185 yards with two touchdowns and Tagavailoa with 193 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs would hand the Dolphins the 21-14 loss.
Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a bye week.
