Miami Dolphins vs Philadelphia Eagles
The first real test of the season arrived for the Miami Dolphins on a chilly Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both teams enter 5-1 and considered Super Bowl contenders with the way they're both playing this season. Former Alabama teammates Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagavailoa would meet for the first time in their pro careers.
The Eagles were looking to redeem themselves after losing to the New York Jets last weekend meanwhile the Dolphins looked to enter Philly and make a statement win on the road. It would be difficult for Miami as they're experiencing several key injuries.
It was all Philadelphia to start off as the team in Kelly Green took the lead 17-3 but Tua and Tyreek Hill would have something to say about that. They would combine for a 27-yard score making it a 17-10 ballgame entering halftime.
After an egregious missed call that would've and should've been passing interference for Miami, ball don't lie and Hurts would throw an interception with Jerome Baker running it back to even things 17-17.
Philadelphia would end Miami's hope right there as Hurts would fire back connecting with A.J. Brown for a 14-yard touchdown making it 24-17. Darius Slay would pick off Tagavailoa in the red zone giving the Eagles the ball back. That drive would go for 13-plays resulting in another touchdown for Philadelphia who highlighted the drive with "tush push".
The Philadelphia Eagles would defeat the Miami Dolphins 31-17 on prime-time dropping Miami to 5-2 on the season. Next up for the Miami Dolphins is a home game welcoming the New England Patriots to Hard Rock Stadium.
