Inter Miami CF vs Sporting Kansas City

The playoff push continues for Inter Miami CF welcoming Sporting Kansas City to DRV PNK Stadium this past weekend. The Herons would have to do it without Lionel Messi as the Argentine joined his national team during this international break window. Miami has a chance to extend the home winning streak to 12 with a win.

Many fans were worried how the team would perform without Messi and the worry increased when the visiting team would strike first in the in the 9th minute. Daniel Salloi would open the scoring and give Sporting Kansas City the early 1-0 lead.

The visitors would only enjoy the luxury of the early lead for a short amount of time as they were called for a penalty giving Miami a chance to equalize. Leonardo Campana was brought down inside the box and he would step up and equalize the match 1-1 at the 25th minute.

It seemed like both teams would be heading to the dressing room all knotted up but the Ecuadorian international would have something to say about that. The comeback would be complete with Campana netting another one giving Miami the 2-1 lead in the 45th minute.

Miami would enjoy the one goal lead for a goof portion of the second half before extending the lead once again. Sergio Busquets would find Farias in the box getting off a right footed strike ending up in the back of the net making it a 3-1 match for the Herons.

Alan Pulido would make the match interesting in the 78th minute when he was able to find the back of the net for Kansas City making it a 3-2 match. That scoreline would hold until the final whistle giving Miami all three points making it 12 unbeaten at home.

Next up for Inter Miami CF is a road match visiting Atlanta United at Mercedes Benz Stadium at the weekend.
