Miami Marlins vs Philadelphia Phillies
Coming off a four-game series win against St. Louis, the Miami Marlins have a chance to get one more series win at home before the All-Star break. The Marlins would welcome NL East rivals the Philadelphia Phillies who have been close in the divisional standings. This would be a great opportunity for Miami to create some space away from Philadelphia.
Game 1: Marlins 3-4 Phillies
Sandy Alcantara vs Zack Wheeler
The Marlins winning the entire game would allow a three-run top of the 9th which would pay the difference allowing the Phillies to get the series opening win.
Game 2: Marlins 5-3 Phillies
Braxton Garrett vs Ranger Suarez
Jorge Soler was the star of the show homering and earning a sac fly giving the Marlins the 5-3 victory.
Game 3: Marlins 7-3 Phillies
Jesus Luzardo vs Aaron Nola
Bryan De La Cruz leads the way with four hits leading the way for a 7-3 Marlins victory and series victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a trip to Camden Yards visiting the Baltimore Orioles after the All-Star break.
