The Miami FC vs Memphis 901

The Miami FC vs Memphis 901

The Miami FC has been on a difficult streak recently containing three losses and two draws falling out of the playoffs into 9th. They looked to get back on track going on the road visiting Memphis 901 who currently sits 5th in the Eastern Conference.

Memphis has been starting games out this season on a fast note and that's exactly what happened against Miami. Memphis started off the match 1-0 on a set piece with a volley putting the visitors under pressure early.

Memphis earned a penalty due to a handball that would see the home side go up 2-0 which is still manageable to come back from. There would be another handball in the box resulting in another penalty for Memphis converting making it 3-0.

Miami would get one back in this game with Curtis Thorn making it 3-1 at the half to give them some motivation heading to the locker room.

Nothing changed in the second half with Memphis keeping the pressure on Miami disallowing them any momentum to make a come back. To make matters worse Miami would pick up a red card sending them down to 10 men.

901 would go on to score twice within the last 20 minutes to make it a 5-1 match making it the worse loss for Miami this season. The struggles continue for the South Florida side as they continue to search for answers to get back on the win column.

Next up for The Miami FC is a road match visiting Rio Grande Valley FC at the weekend.
