The home stand continued for the Marlins and the trend of facing west coast teams. Miami just came off a series loss to the San Diego Padres and would now welcome the Oakland Athletics to South Florida. The Athletics are the worst team in the AL West with only 12 victories but as well as the entire MLB.

Luis Arraez goes for a career high five hits as well as five RBI's to lead the Marlins in a 12-1 rout over Oakland.
Game 3: Marlins 7-5 Athletics
Sandy Alcantara vs Paul Blackburn
Luis Arraez breaks the deadlock in the 8th helping the Marlins complete the weekend sweep with a 7-5 victory.
