Inter Miami CF vs Philadelphia Union

Inter Miami CF vs Philadelphia Union

Inter Miami CF were once again in the headlines for the signing of Spanish international and Barcelona man Sergio Busquets who will arrive to help Messi. The club will also be adding additional stands at DRV PNK Stadium to accommodate more fans. Meanwhile, the club continues to struggle immensely as they searched to break a six-match losing streak on the road at Subaru Park against defending Eastern Conference champion the Philadelphia Union.

It took just 14 minutes for the home side to get on the board with defender Jakob Glesnes getting his head on the end of one to open the scoring 1-0. Miami has lost every single match this season when they have conceded first. To add to the problems, Miami would lose Franco Negri due to injury which would make way for Robbie Robinson who we haven't seen since preseason.

Former Miami man Julián Carranza would punish his old club in the 39th minute followed by Leon Flach sending the Union to the dressing room with a 3-0 lead. With this scoreline at the half the match was all but over.

Some life for Miami would show in the second half with Robert Taylor ripping a shot in the 50th minute that received a deflection and into the back of the net for 3-1. Still a hard deficit to overcome on the road especially against any team that has Jim Curtin at the helm.

The for sure dagger would arrive in the 68th minute through an own goal giving the Philadelphia Union the 4-1 victory. Miami has now lost seven matches consecutively sitting dead last in the Eastern Conference as well as the worst team in the MLS.

Next up for Inter Miami CF is a home match at DRV PNK Stadium welcoming Austin FC at the weekend.
