Inter Miami CF vs Nashville SC

The predictions have been wrong in the last couple of weeks for Inter Miami CF as they've taken down teams that are sitting in the top of the Eastern Conference. Teams like New England, Columbus, and Atlanta were all predicted losses with the form Miami was in. They had another big test midweek on the road at GEODIS Park facing Nashville SC.

Since the beginning of this match it was the Herons back line having to defend greatly to hold on in which they did but at a certain point the dam will break. League MVP Hany Muhktar did what he does best applying immense pressure on opponents back line. In the 33rd minute Muhktar would find Fafa Picault for the opening goal making it 1-0.

Many fans wondered why in a match of this caliber against a top team like Nashville why Josef Martínez in his current run of form would be on the bench. At halftime he would be subbed in for veteran Victor Ulloa who got the start. This would bring in more of an attacking presence to try to find an equalizer in this match.

In the 49th minute it would be Nashville who put a stop to any hope that Miami had of making a comeback in this match. Shaq Moore would find Lukas MacNaughton for a header that would extend the lead to 2-0 for the home side.

The only sense of offense for Miami in this match came in the 90th minute plus stoppage time from Dixon Arroyo who would earn his first goal with the club making it a 2-1 match. By this time it was too late and Miami would fall 2-1 to Nashville. They go from 5th to 11th in the Eastern Conference with rivalry weekend looming.

Next up for Inter Miami CF is rivalry weekend at home hosting Orlando City at DRV PNK Stadium.
