Miami Marlins vs New York Mets
After an offseason of moves for the Miami Marlins, opening weekend finally arrived with a four-game series welcoming the NL East rival New York Mets. Let's take a look at how the 2023 opening series played out.
Game 1: Marlins 3-5 Mets

Edward Cabrera vs Tylor Megill
Miami native Pete Alonso would get an RBI double that would lead the Mets past the Marlins with a final score of 6-2.
Game 4: Marlins 1-5 Mets
Trevor Rogers vs Kodai Senga
Senga in his first time on a MLB mound would strike out eight as the Mets win the series and win the game by a final score of 5-1.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a three-game home series welcoming in the American League side the Minnesota Twins.
