The Miami FC vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds

The Miami FC enters the third match of the season looking for their first victory of the season. This was also Miami's first road match of the season as they visited the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

The two teams have played very physical and close matches through recent years and this time around it would prove to be the same. The first 10 minutes of the match was very aggressive by both teams putting in a good performance. Some saves as well as yellow cards were shown in the early stages of this one.

Kyle Murphy would earn his first goal of the 2023 season in the 22nd minute for Miami putting them up 1-0. The visitors would control the match for the rest of the first half but could not double their lead before heading to the dressing room.

In the second half it would be Pittsburgh that would up the intensity to bring some pressure on Miami. The physicality of the match intensified as well with more yellow cards being shown. Miami players looked for a red card on Stanley from Pittsburgh for a strong challenge with the player being previously booked.

To break Miami's hearts once again, the Riverhounds would find an equalizer in the 84th minute to make it a 1-1 match. This is the second time this season where Miami gives up a late goal and the third time where they cannot hold on to a result.

Pittsburgh and Miami would share the points on the night on what was a competitive hard fought match. The South Florida men are left searching for their first three points of the season.

Next up for The Miami FC is a home match welcoming Memphis 901 on Saturday, April 1st.
