Inter Miami CF vs Toronto FC

Interesting match between Inter Miami CF and Toronto FC because of the headlines with both teams as of recent. For Miami, it's the injury bug with now the captain Gregore most likely missing the rest of the season as well as still missing their striker Leonardo Campana. For Toronto FC, its been not being able to win for the last nine games carrying into last season.

Many were talking about if the weather would impact Miami as the weather at BMO Field was absolutely frigid. It was obvious that without Gregore and still missing Campana that this team was missing spirit and creativity. Players like Josef Martinez were completely silent and could not tell if he was still playing in the game.

Harvey Neville who is the son of head coach Phil Neville got the start as Deandre Yedlin stayed behind as his wife is expecting anytime soon. This was also a difficult loss for Miami in this match as Yedlin is also a guy who brings that fight and grit to the pitch.

The Herons did not have any clear opportunities on goal compared to Toronto who looked dangerous in space pushing forward. The Canadians had 12 registered shots with 6 on target compared to Miami's 9 registered shots with just 3 on target.

Johnathan Osorio and Mark-Anthony Kaye would score both goals for Toronto in the 48th and 69th minutes giving them a 2-0 victory. The game was flat in the first half with several Toronto chances but that all changed and ended in the second half. Once the first goal was scored, Miami could never recover.

Inter Miami CF suffers back-to-back losses as Toronto FC picks up their first victory of the season.

Next up for Inter Miami CF is a home match at DRV PNK Stadium welcoming in the Chicago Fire.
