The Miami FC vs Las Vegas Lights
It was a late night matchup out west in Nevada as The Miami FC visited the Las Vegas Lights at Cashman Field. Miami had hopes of being able to reach 4th in the Eastern Conference with a win over the team from sin city.
It was once again Miami on the attack from the get go having multiple chances at goal within the first 20 minutes of the match. The home team would grab the lead in the 31st minute with a ball played into the box which sadly deflected off of Luca Antonelli and into the goal for 1-0. Both teams would go into the lockeroom with this current scoreline.
Things changed drastically in the second half with Las Vegas dominating possession. They doubled their lead in the 66th minute making it 2-0. We all know that a two score lead is the most dangerous in all of sports. Miami would make a valiant effort to make a comeback in this match.
It would be Joaquin Rivas who would put Miami on the board making it 2-1 giving the orange and blue some life. Right when Miami was gaining momentum the dagger to the heart was distributed in the 78th minute with Cal Jennings making it 3-1. This made it seem almost impossible to be able to overcome even with Florian Valot scoring a header in the 84th minute to make it 3-2.
The Jennings goal would deem to be too much for Miami as Vegas goes on to take all +3 in this match. Things will be tough for Miami with one final match left to be able to snag 4th in the East.
Next up for The Miami FC is a road match visiting Detroit City for the final regular season match.
