The Miami FC vs Atlanta United II

The Miami FC vs Atlanta United II

The USL South Florida side knew they had an important task ahead of them against Atlanta United II on Saturday night. A win for Miami would clinch a spot in the playoffs which would make back-to-back appearances. Problem is that Miami has only scored one goal in the fixture with Atlanta. Let's see how the showdown went at FIU Stadium.

The first 20 minutes of this match was like a game of tennis going back and fourth. No one really had clear possession or even clear chances, it could've gone either way. What was in store next was a lightning attack by Miami with several chances but not being able to convert. Right before heading to the dressing room it would be Callum Chapman-Page putting his team in front 1-0.

Atlanta United II would respond in the second half at the 57th minute with Darwin Matheus equalizing to make it 1-1.

Paco Craig would strike back for his team to equalize it 2-2 and that is how the match would end up with both squads sharing the points. Although Coach Pulis was not happy with the result, his team are now qualified for the 2022 playoffs.

Next up for The Miami FC is a home match welcoming Western Conference opponents Monterrey Bay next weekend.
