Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots

Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots

One of the most anticipated seasons in Dolphin history finally arrived this past weekend. Miami welcomed their arch nemesis the New England Patriots in which they've had a winning record against as of late. The Dolphins look menacing enough to be able to put up a fight against the clear favorite the Buffalo Bills. This is the first time we were able to get a look at Tyreek Hill and his connection with Tua.

The atmosphere just seemed different at Hard Rock Stadium filled with excitement and anticipation. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle both played 40 snaps both going for 12 receptions, 163 yards and as well as a touchdown. The first touchdown of the season from Tua to Waddle for 42 yards bringing out the famous penguin celebration.

One thing that could improve going into week 2 would be the run game. The Dolphins only went for 43 yards on the ground. Miami didn't really need too because of the accuracy Tua was showing. When the Phins face a defense that locks up the passing game they will have to be forced to run.

Miami's defense is another key worth mentioning as they only allowed one touchdown from New England. The Dolphins would force three turnovers and only just 271 yards allowed. They would keep the Patriots at the second to lowest scoring team in the league for the week. Brandon Jones was the most impressive going for 11 tackles on the day.

The Dolphins would steam roll past the Patriots by a final score of 20-7.

Next up for the Miami Dolphins in week 2 is a road trip to visit the Baltimore Ravens.
