The Miami FC vs Hartford Athletic

With the season winding down The Miami FC has found great form that will propel them to the playoffs. For a majority of the season, Miami has kept themselves above the playoff line sitting in the last spot available. This is Miami's second meeting with Hartford with a perfect opportunity to pick up points on the road.

To Miami's liking it was a fast paced match right out the gate with Hartford getting a couple of shots in during the first two minutes. Hartford's defense cleaned up a mistake made by their goalkeeper that almost let Murphy score for Miami in the 3rd minute.

Akinyode would draw first board and get on the board but the linesman had decided that it would be offsides disallowing the goal. The 43rd minute would bring an opportunity for Miami with Segbers being brought down inside the 18 drawing a penalty. Kyle Murphy would give the team in orange a 1-0 lead heading into the half.

Hartford would try to claw back for an equalizer but it was Valot in the 62nd minute who scored a beautiful goal finding itself in the top corner to make it 2-0. Miami would shut out Hartford once again as they did earlier in the season with the same scoreline. Connor Sparrow would pick up another clean sheet plus the three points. The Miami FC jumps into 6th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Next up for The Miami FC is a home match against the top dogs in the East in Louisville City.
