The Miami FC vs Atlanta United II
The Miami FC felt very frustrated after their defeat last match in which they thought should've been a win. You could feel that sense of urgency of the blue and orange in this road match against Atlanta United II. Miami is clinging on to that final playoff spot with the season starting to wind down. Every match is going to be a cup final until that spot is secured.
Miami did what it does best which is controlling pace and intensity early which paid off in the 8th minute. Florian Valot would find Mark Segbers in the box to nail a shot into the right side of the net to give the South Florida side the 1-0 lead.
One of the next most meaningful moments in this match would be Noah Cobb being sent off leaving Atlanta left with 10 men. Cobb would bring down Romeo Parkes in a nasty challenge for a very well deserved red card.
To seal the deal it would be Valot already with an assist in this match, he would get himself a goal in the dying moments of this match to give Miami the 2-0 win. Connor Sparrow had to deal with 16 Atlanta shots but would end up with the clean sheet.
Vital +3 for Miami as they continue on the road next weekend against Hartford Athletic.
