The Miami FC vs Indy Eleven
It was another one of those South Florida nights where fans had to leave the grandstands and seek shelter due to a weather delay. This is the second straight weather delay at FIU Stadium as we enter rainy season in Florida. Believe it or not, these delays due to have an impact on teams and their confidence/mental state whether its before a match or in the middle of one.
Kyle Murphy and Christian Sorto got things going for Miami coming out strong in the first half but unable to capitalize. The 14th minute would see both teams enter the dressing room for yet another weather delay that would stop play.
After a lengthy delay it would take Miami just 30 seconds to find the opening goal with Sorto finally getting his breakthrough to make it 1-0 advantage to the blue and orange in the 15th minute. Disciplinary action would make a bulk of the rest of the first half until the 42nd minute where Indy's Manuel Arteaga would lose a golden one-on-one opportunity.
The equalizer would start up in Indy's midfield which would combine for nice passing slotting one between two Miami defenders finding Stefano Pinho who would slot it home in the bottom right corner to make it 1-1 in the 55th minute.
The rest of the match would feature match saving saves by both goalkeepers earning a hard fought point in which was a very long for not only the fans but both clubs.
The Miami FC will welcome in rival Tampa Bay Rowdies this upcoming weekend.
