The Miami FC vs Birmingham Legion

The Miami FC's road trek continued in a midweek clash against the Birmingham Legion. Miami entered the match coming off another road victory in the southeast against Memphis 901. For the Legion, they come off a home victory against Charleston Battery.

The opening half consisted of chances galore created by the South Florida side starting off in the 13th minute. It seemed that Miami who were knocking on the door would find the back of the net very soon. The blue and orange controlled 57% possession with six total shots with two on target. Legion produced two shots with none being on target. The first half was clearly in favor of The Miami FC.

Birmingham right out of the gate would have their biggest chance in the match at the 52nd minute with a shot from the central position but sailing just wide. Miami GK Connor Sparrow would only be forced to make three saves in the second half and the entire match. A big moment in the 88th minute for Miami with a cross from Reid into the box did not find the head of Parkes.  The match would end the same way it started with a 0-0 score.

The Miami FC returns home this weekend to welcome in San Antonio at FIU Stadium.
