Miami Heat Playoff Durability: Will They Make It?

 Miami Heat Playoff Durability:
Will They Make It?

The Miami Heat strived for the best in game 3 but came out defeated against the
Atlanta Hawks 110-111. Taking the game to Atlanta, the Miami Heat are now 2-1 with
the Hawks. A weird start with a delayed tip-off due to a suspicious package. Kyle Lowry
down and out during the last few minutes of the third quarter, with a noticeable limp. The
point guard sat out during the fourth due to a hamstring injury, and now his status for
Sunday’s game four is in the air, according to ESPN staff writer Dave McMenamin. Kyle
Lowry is to run tests Saturday to assess the severity of the injury.
Jimmy Butler dropped 45 points, a career high for the forward during Wednesday
night’s game two. According to Dave Hyde of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Jimmy
Butler humbly stated that “We know our goal is winning 16 games, we’ve got to get the
first, the second, then all the way down the line.” 93% of NBA teams have won their
series after a 2-0 lead, so statistically the Heat have the win in the bag. Tonight the odds
played differently, Jimmy Butler had 20 points tonight and missed a crucial potential
buzz beater 25-foot three point pullup jumper with the Hawks having a one point
advantage, that would have given the Heat the victory of game 3.
The team strived tonight with Tyler Herro stepping up from the bench with 24
points and Bam Adebayo led the team with 11 rebounds. Adebayo, as always, played
with efficiency despite not making Defensive Player of the Year.
Game 4 will be Sunday, April 24th, 2022 7:00pm on TNT. With the Heat still
leading the series and Kyle Lowry’s availability after injury is still, hope is still alive for
the Miami Heat.
