Jeter says goodbye to the Marlins

It was an uneventful and unsuccessful four and half years with Derek Jeter has the CEO of the
Miami Marlins, even though Miami made the postseason in 2020 during the pandemic. When
Derek Jeter took charge of this organization, the city of Miami and all of its Marlins fans
expected a positive turnaround the MLB hadn’t seen. From 2017-present day, the Miami
Marlins have only been above .500 once and that season was only 60 games. The other
seasons, they didn’t make any big splashes on the trading side and the drafting side, but we
gave away big stars like Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich and Dee Gordon at the time. We all
expected Jeter to use his championship pedigree, baseball knowledge and connections to bring
back the life that was once in this team and the thousands of fans that want to see them
succeed. Now, newly named LoanDepot Park is just an empty shell that reminds tax payers of
the failures this organization continues to bring.
