With the Miami Dolphins in a complete rebuild, the list gets extensive when asking about the necessities for the upcoming NFL Draft.
Here’s what I mean,
Miami Dolphins Draft needs:
Offensive Tackle
Interior Offensive Lineman
Defensive Tackle
Edge Rusher
Cornerback
Safeties
Wide Receivers
Tight End
This list isn't saying that Miami doesn't have these positions, but a lot of it involves quality and depth.
Key Players Miami has lost in positions of need:
Jaelen Phillips
Bradley Chubb
Xavien Howard
Jevon Holland
Jalen Ramsey
Tyreek Hill
Jaylen Waddle
Minkah Fitzpatrick
Obviously, I am not expecting Miami’s new management and coaching to fix it all from day one but after 25 years of being terribly operated, seeing new faces gives the fans some hope for the draft and the future.
If Miami wants to make a splash next season, they’ll have to hit every draft pick and find a diamond UDFA. Miami should rebuild the trenches and then work your way out. Miami’s current roster is nowhere good enough to compete with the best teams, let alone in the playoffs, so if I was GM, I would try to get a Top 5 pick in next year’s draft and acquire, WR Jeremiah Smith. Unfortunately, we are a year away from that so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Malik Willis, Devon Achane, and Jordyn Brooks are the best players on the roster at this moment. Even though, rumors were swirling about Achane getting traded before or during the draft. We will just have to wait and see on April 23, 2026.
