Inter Miami CF Remain Perfect

 Inter Miami CF Remain Perfect

A big time test and challenge occurred over the weekend for Inter Miami CF who made the trip up to Cleveland where First Energy Stadium home of the Cleveland Browns played host. In order to make space for more fans the Columbus Crew decided to move the game to Cleveland which would be the first ever MLS game in the city. All this due to the fact many fans wanted to see Lionel Messi who would get the start against Columbus. Both teams entered this match still unbeaten in league play with the Crew being a real threat.

Oscar Ustari was busy to start the match with the Crew dominating possession and have chances on goal. Max Arfsten almost put Columbus up in the 29th minute but Ustari made a tremendous save to keep the match level. Just a minute later the match opening goal would arrive with Luis Suarez finding Weigandt running down the right touchline who would fire off a cross to the center of the box finding Benjamin Cremaschi for a diving header finding the back of the net for 1-0.

In the second half it was the Crew continuing to put pressure and maintaining the majority of possession. Columbus had great chances but would not be able to finish them which was frustrating from a Crew fan's perspective. The defense as well as Ustari stayed strong throughout the final 45 minutes as well as proving that Miami can strike at any moment and get on the board. Miami remains perfect in league play handing Columbus their first loss of the season.

Up next for Inter Miami CF is a home game welcoming FC Dallas to Chase Stadium.
