Miami Marlins vs Chicago Cubs
Entering the series at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs, the Miami Marlins have not been able to secure a series victory. They have another chance as they take on Chicago for a four-game weekend series. Game one was moved to Friday with a doubleheader on Saturday as rain postponed the series opener on Thursday afternoon. More bad news as pitcher A.J. Puk would be heading to the IR continuing to leave the Miami bullpen empty handed.
Game 1: Marlins 3-8 Cubs
A.J. Puk vs Jameson Taillon
Only one run allowed through five innings form Taillon on the mound as the Cubs get the series opener 8-3.
Game 2: Marlins 3-2 Cubs
Jesus Luzardo vs Javier Assad
Bryan De La Cruz homered in the 9th to give the Marlins the 3-2 victory and trying up the series.
Game 3: Marlins 3-5 Cubs
Roddery Munoz vs Shota Imanaga
Both Cody Bellinger and Alexander Canario homer to give the Cubs the 5-3 victory.
Game 4: Marlins 6-3 Cubs
Edward Cabrera vs Kyle Hendricks
A massive solo homer from Jesus Sanchez helps Miami end the series tied with the 6-3 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road series visiting the Atlanta Braves.
