The window to stay hot ad secure a playoff spot is getting smaller and smaller for the Miami Marlins. The squad has had difficulty securing wins and earning series victories thus far in the second half of the season. They also have not had an easy schedule especially facing a strong Texas Rangers team on the road at Globe Life Field.

It was a slug fest for the Rangers hitting three homers in a 8-9 victory over Miami.
Game 3: Marlins 0-6 Rangers
Sandy Alcantara vs Andrew Heaney
Four homers for the Rangers plus they shutout the Marlins from the mound earning Texas a series sweep and 6-0 victory.
Next up for the Miami Marlins is a road trip visiting the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ballpark.
