Miami Dolphins vs Cleveland Browns
The Miami Dolphins entered Sunday's game looking to accomplish something they have not done since the 2001 season. That would be a positive 7-3 record as well as control of the AFC East which would be made possible with a Buffalo Bills loss.
The Miami Dolphins will take a positive four-game win streak and control of the AFC East into the bye week after defeating the Cleveland Browns 39-17. The dagger for the Browns would be the run defense as the Dolphins rushed 33 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Tua Tagavailoa would have a day himself looking dominant with 302 passing yards.
The credit for this win goes to the Dolphins coaching staff who scouted the Browns well. They entered this game knowing Cleveland has a hard time stopping the run and they exploited that. The Dolphins would score on seven out of its eight possessions in the entire game.
For the Browns it was that inability to stop the run and get the defense off the field on third down. The Dolphins would convert 6/11 third down attempts. Their punter would never see the field and when that happens, you know there is a problem.
The Bills fell short in OT against Minnesota which gave the Dolphins the control of the AFC East after the victory.
Next up for Miami is a well deserved bye week!
