January 28, 2022– The Miami Heat All-Star center is setting the tone as he returns from his latest
right thumb injury. Since his return he has been putting up an average of 15 points per game.
The last game for the Heat against the Los Angeles Lakers was a nice win (113-107), with Adebayo's
two handed jam effortlessly crashing into the rim. That night he had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The Heat were without Kyle Lowry (personal matter) and Tyler Herro (health and safety protocols).
The Heat were advantageous as they held the Lakers to 11 of 40 shooting from 3-point range, and had 31 assists as the Lakers had 20.

His first game back was January 17,2022 against the Toronto Raptors, where they solidified a win of
104-99. He played 32 minutes as he scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists since his absence,
shooting 4 of 12 that night.

The player had surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb. He suffered the
injury during the loss against the Denver Nuggets (111-85) on Monday November 29,2021.
With a recovery period of 4-6 weeks and Dwayne Dedmon as his sub. He started his debut of the
year off a little late but better late than never because he came back and helped score dubs. Since
his return he has played five games averaging 15 points per game, around 8 rebounds, and approx. 5 assists playing a standard 32 mins a game.

Hopefully Adebayo stays healthy as the Heat progress onto the playoffs as they are number one in the

Eastern Conference right now.
